Definition - What does Cool Lipo mean?
Cool Lipo is a laser-based lipolysis device that, through a minimally invasive process, liquefies and easily removes local fat. It is a laser-assisted procedure that damages irreversibly and eliminates fat cells in body parts such as the chin, neck, and jowls or areas with sagging skin such as the arms, knees or stomach. Additionally, unlike conventional liposuction, the wavelength of the Cool Lipo laser in 1320 nm targets, besides fat, also collagen and water resulting in the direct contraction of collagen and, consequently, skin tightening.
TheConsultation explains Cool Lipo
Cool Lipo utilizes two different sizes of laser fibers to break up and thin out the fat. The small one is suitable for smaller pockets of fat and the larger tube is used for more extended areas. During the process, the cannula is inserted through a small incision under the skin and liquefies and removes the fat. The difference between Cool Lipo and other devices is that, because of its laser technology, it causes also skin tightening after the fat elimination process. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. There are no serious side effects, besides minimal swelling and bruising, and there is no downtime.
