Definition - What does Vi Peel mean?
The Vi peel uses a formula consisting of a special combination of five different acids (TCA, Retin-A, salicylic acid, phenol and vitamin C) that is often applied with special rollers. Each of the Vi peel's components exerts a different action. For example, vitamin C is an antioxidant, has a bleaching effect and offers gentle exfoliation, while Retin-A smooths the wrinkles and TCA stimulates collagen production and improves the appearance of the deep scars.
TheConsultation explains Vi Peel
A Vi peel improves the tone and texture of the skin and makes it look more youthful and refined. It is applied at a medical spa or clinic and the whole process lasts about 20 minutes. The Vi peel formula should remain on the skin for 5 hours and is rinsed by the patient at home. Although it is generally a painless procedure, patients may feel a mild stinging sensation that goes away right after application. There is no downtime and patients can resume daily routines immediately after treatment.
However, Vi peel may cause skin irritation for a few days (the exact duration depends on the type and sensitivity of each individual’s skin) in some cases.
